16 – Downtown Oroville Haunted Alley | Oroville
Walk through the entire alley filled with delightfully spooky surprises and haunted house-style frights that will test the bravest of your family members!

17 – Witch’s Market | Chico
Join us for the sixth annual Witch‘s Market at the 1078 Gallery in Chico. Witch-made pottery, herbal magic, farm-fresh goods, tarot readings, garments, sweet treats, curious creations, and crafts for the kiddos!

18 – Halloweentown At Meriam Park | Chico
Lunar Market and Meriam Park Events are teaming up once again to bring back the ultimate spooky season celebration! We’re expanding the event footprint this year with a street closure on Market Place, making room for even more tricks, treats, and local vendor magic.

25 – Spellbound Market | Chico
Step into a world of magic at Spellbound, a whimsical pop-up market event hosted by Your Local Marketplace! Join us on October 26th from 11 AM to 4 PM at Lassen Traditional Cidery for a day filled with enchantment, trick or treating, and community spirit.

30 – Downtown Chico Treat Street | Chico
Treat Street is Downtown Chico’s annual Halloween tradition, bringing families together for a safe and festive celebration. Kids can trick-or-treat at participating businesses, enjoy live music, and take part in fun seasonal activities. Highlights include a costume contest and special photo opportunities with Chico Police and Fire.

NOVEMBER

1 – Day Of The Dead Festival | Chico
Divine Sundays is excited to bring back the 4th Annual Chico Day of the Dead Festival! Bringing together cultural education and community celebration, the Day of the Dead Festival is the perfect place to celebrate your Dia de Muertos.

7 – Elks Hoop Shoot | Paradise
The Hoop Shoot has been unleashing gritty kids for over 50 years. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free throw program for youth ages 8-13.

7 – Bags and Beans | Paradise
Five years in a row, our Chili Cookoff has been a major local hit!  With the help of a few chili cookoff pros, PRPD staff expect the 2026 Chili Cookoff to be bigger, tastier, and even more fun. 

14 – Winter Pinewood Derby | Paradise
Come to the races for PRPD’s youth winter Pinewood Derby! Car kits are available for purchase at the Terry Ashe Rec Center M-F 9-3. Build your derby car and cheer on the competition!

28 – Downtown Oroville Shop Small Saturday | Oroville
If the idea of braving the crowds at big box stores makes you want to cancel gift-giving, don’t turn into the Grinch just yet! The cozy, carefully curated shops of downtown Oroville have you covered. Find unique gifts for your loved ones and get the chance to win a gift for yourself!

DECEMBER

4 – Chico Tree Lighting Ceremony | Chico
Join us in the heart of Downtown Chico as we kick off the holiday season with one of our community’s most cherished traditions—the annual Community Tree Lighting! Since 1978, this magical evening has brought families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate the spirit of the season beneath the glow of our community tree, located just outside the Chico City Plaza.

4 – Downtown Oroville Christmas Tree Lighting | Oroville
The historic Downtown Oroville Christmas Preview transforms into a wonderland of winter magic that will whisk the whole family back to simpler times of holiday cheer. Participating businesses all around downtown will offer refreshments, provide plenty of fantastic gift options, and even lend you a hand finding the perfect gift for that special someone.

5 – Winter Wonderland: Holiday Craft Faire | Paradise
Experience the magic of the season at our Holiday Craft Faire, where you’ll find unique gifts and festive decor. Join us for Santa’s grand arrival, delight in the joyful sounds of Tiny Voices singing holiday classics, and cap off the evening with a spectacular tree lighting ceremony. Celebrate the spirit of the holidays with fun for the whole family.

5-6 – Brunch With Santa | Chico
Santa Claus is coming to town – for brunch! At CARD! Join us Saturday & Sunday, December 5 & 6 at the CARD Community Center for a morning filled with holiday fun. Enjoy a delicious buffet brunch, meet Santa and capture your annual holiday photo, and explore Santa’s Village with festive crafts, activities, and a very merry scavenger hunt in the rose garden.

13 – Little’s Lunar Market | Chico
Meriam Park Events and Lunar Market Chico are excited to host the 2nd Annual Little’s Lunar Market! Join us in supporting Chico’s youngest creators as we showcase 20+ local youth business owners, young artists, and kid makers. Discover unique handmade goods, art, and crafts while celebrating the talent and entrepreneurship of our local youth.
