2-3 – OffBeat Music Festival
Dozens of incredible artists. All over one big car-free block in Reno’s Brewery District.
3 – Pink is Stronger Than You Think Golf Tournament
This golf tournament is a four person scramble and is presented by the Carson Valley Health Foundation and the Carson Valley Women’s Golf Club.
3-4 – World Championship Outhouse Races
America’s looniest loo race returns to historic Virginia City for a weekend flushed with fun. The 37th annual World Championship Outhouse Races is a free-to-attend, quirky commode competition that takes over the center of town with costumed racers and their themed outhouses.
10-11 – Great Italian Festival
Over Columbus Day weekend, the annual Great Italian Festival celebrates Italian culture and traditions.
13-17 – Mark Twain Days Festival
Join us to celebrate one of America’s most prolific, witty, wise (and wise cracking) writers, Mark Twain. Learn more about his work, life, and contributions to the fabric of the wild west.
17-18 – Reno Zombie Crawl
Named by USA Today as one of the 10 Best Costumed Halloween Parties in the Nation, and Redbook as the best way to celebrate Halloween in all of Nevada, The Reno Zombie Crawl is one of the biggest bar crawls in the world!
23 – Annual Halloween Museum Block Party
Fun, family-friendly Halloween entertainment presented by the Nevada State Museum!
31 – City of Fernley’s Spooktacular
The City of Fernley is getting ready for our Annual Safe Trick-or-Treating Spooktacular, and we’re reaching out to our local businesses, organizations, and community partners to help us make this year’s event another great one.
30 – Nevada Day Parade
Enjoy the parade, balloon launch, rock drilling, beard contest, and more as the whole community comes together to celebrate Nevada.
NOVEMBER
5-7 – The Fern 45 Off-Road Poker Run
A 45-mile, two-loop off-road poker run through the scenic mountain terrain of Northern Nevada. This is a non-race event meant for riders to travel at their own pace.
6-7 – Dia De Los Muertos
This vibrant Mexican tradition honors and remembers loved ones through traditional music, crafts, foods, and symbolic offerings to an altar, or ofrenda. Bring your friends and family for this bilingual celebration of life, family, and community.
7-8 – Carson City Card Con
Much more than simply a vendor hall, our show boasts a packed roster of the latest tournaments in the world of card gaming, with official support and big prizes.
26 – Wobble Before You Gobble
Join us on Thanksgiving Morning for a run/ walk/ wobble that kicks off your Thanksgiving Morning festivities!
26 – Scheels Turkey Trot
This year’s Turkey Trot will keep things cozy with a classic 2-mile stroll around the Marina, perfect for soaking up the views and holiday cheer. Feeling extra peppy? Go ahead and trot that extra mile… or four… by taking two more laps around the Marina.
29-30 – Holiday Lights Festival
Kick off the holiday season the weekend after Thanksgiving with the City of Reno’s Christmas Tree Lighting! Stroll through twinkling lights, shop for locally made holiday gifts, enjoy live music, and savor festive treats from our food truck plaza. It’s a magical holiday celebration for the whole family!
DECEMBER
3-5 – 39 North Pole Village
This unique holiday festival features interactive art, nonstop live entertainment and hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, a giant heated vendor tent, food trucks, Hot Chocolate Cottage playland, train rides, Santa photos & and endless amounts of holiday cheer. This event is free to attend.
4 – Silver & Snowflake Festival
Join us from what feels like some Hallmark movie magic for the annual tree lighting and grounds lighting ceremony on the Capitol Grounds with the traditional caroling, free sleigh rides down Carson Street, Santa, the Grinch, and hot chocolate to kick-off the holidays in Carson City!
4-5 – Sparks Hometowne Christmas Celebration
Join the Sparks Hometowne Parade as they celebrate the wonder of Christmas. Meet Santa, or experience a tree lighting full of holiday spirit. Official theme to be announced soon!
4-6 – Spirit of the Season
Celebrate the season with Spirit of the Season: Hometown Holidays, a festive concert that shines a spotlight on the extraordinary talent of the Biggest Little City.
12 – Reno Santa Crawl
Each year 15-20,000 Santas party together in Reno, NV for this “bucket-list” event enjoying over 150 specials at over 40 venues. Established in 2001, The world-famous Reno Santa Crawl is one of the largest, longest running & best-run events of its kind!
13 – 3rd Annual Tamale Festival
Join us in celebrating the holidays with tamales, live music, dancing, and games for the whole family. Don’t forget your appetite! We will be awarding cash prizes for the Best Tamale and People’s Choice Tamale!
