Local Events – Yuba Sutter


MAY

1st – Adventist Health Rideout Foundation Golf Tournament
Tee up for a great cause at our 2026 Golf Tournament! All event proceeds will support patient experience initiatives within the Emergency Department. This 18-hole tournament features a four-person team best ball scramble format, with games throughout the course (most are included with registration). Enjoy a great day on the green while supporting patients’ well-being.

2nd – Mindful Miles 5K
With support from a grant provided by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), we aim to promote understanding of mental health, how to support a healthy mind, and to promote the importance of physical activity, social engagement, and connections with community resources that support positive mental health. Start and Finish will be on the Yuba College track with an 8:30am warm-up and announcements and a 9:00am start.  Breakfast will be served at 7:30am and awards at 10:00am. Same day registrations are open and available on the day of the run; however, T-Shirts are not guaranteed if registrations are on race day.

2nd – AAUW Garden Tour
Presented by the American Association of University Women, Marysville-Yuba City, this fundraiser supports the week-long AAUW Tech Trek summer science camp for 7th grade girls held at UC Davis, the STEM Career Conference for more than 700 eighth-grade girls held at Yuba College, and other scholarships for women and girls.

9th – The Farmer’s Wife Vintage Barn Show
Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend at our 13th Annual Vintage Barn Show on May 9. Explore 30+ local vendors, enjoy live music and food trucks, and take in the farm as the lavender fields start to peak into bloom. It’s the perfect way to spend the day with moms, friends, and family while supporting local artisans.

16th – Sutter Buttes Spirit Mountain Run
Come join us on May 16, 2026 for our 5K, 10K and Half Marathon run through the center of the Sutter Buttes, Pass Road. Scenic paved route through the smallest mountain range in the world. All run courses start on flat road and have a slight gradual rolling incline then a slight gradual rolling decline. All proceeds will benefit children and families in need in the Sutter/Yuba area. Event will take place rain or shine!

17th – Sutter Buttes Showdown
As one of two brand-new Roughy Top Gun events launching in 2026, this debut showdown will feature top riders, powerful bulls, and nonstop entertainment from start to finish. Whether you’re a lifelong rodeo fan or experiencing bull riding for the first time, this is a can’t-miss event built for high energy and big moments.


JUNE

20th – Summer Stroll
Summer Stroll is a vibrant downtown activation event in Yuba City designed to celebrate local businesses, foster community connection, and create an engaging public experience. The event features extended business hours, local vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities, transforming the downtown district into a lively, walkable destination that supports economic growth and community pride.

25th – 28th – Yuba-Sutter Fair
The annual Yuba-Sutter Fair provides an opportunity for families and friends to create ever-lasting memories. We hope you have the third week of June marked on your calendar each year to share in this great event. Whether you attend to enjoy the exhibits, food and entertainment, or participate in competitions, the fair can be magical and memorable experience for all ages! We hope to see you at this year’s fair.


JULY

3rd – Lake Minden Independence Day Activities
Family-friendly activities and food in Nicolaus.

4th – Yuba-Sutter Fireworks Show
Held at Riverfront MX Park, featuring food trucks.

4th – Grimes 4th of July Parade
A small-town parade at with vintage vehicles.

4th – Patriotic Concert
Yuba Sutter Symphony performs at Yuba City Town Square Fountain.

17th – 18th – Marysville Peach Festival
The Marysville Peach Festival will return to Marysville on July 17th from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and July 18th from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. in Marysville’s Historic shopping district.  Enjoy dozens of delectable peach foods, desserts and beverages while visiting one of more than 185 vendors spaces. Dance to the distinctive sounds of area bands serenading festival-goers at one of our two entertainment stages.  Enter the peach pie eating contest that takes place on Saturday at 3rd & D Street at Noon!  Visit our children’s area to keep your little ones entertained! Discover countless hidden treasures at local brick and mortar businesses while you make your way through downtown Marysville! Escape the heat at one of our amazing local restaurants and soak in the history of this Gold Rush era town.  Cool down with an icy cold peach cocktail at one of downtown Marysville’s local watering holes.


AUGUST

21st – 24K Magic Benefit Concert

29th – Brews, Blues & BBQ
The Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Yuba City is hosting its 24th annual Brews, Blues & BBQ. There will be over 30 micro brews, water, soda, wine, amazing live music all evening and your meal is Included in your ticket price. You can have your choice of a half slab of St Louis style BBQ ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, or a 10″ personal gourmet pizza, a tri-tip sandwich with coleslaw, beans, and bread, and of course domestic beer & micro brews, wine, soda, and water.


SEPTEMBER

5th – Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
