Zip Tahoe At Kirkwood

Open seven days a week, their two hour Signature Zipline Tour takes you across eight zip lines, three suspension bridges, and a floating step while you are ninety feet in the air. Add in some breathtaking views of the Sierra Mountains from every platform and you’ve got yourself one incredible experience. Everyone ages eight and up can have a blast zipping around Kirkwood Resort, learning about the Sierra Nevada ecology, geology, history thanks to their knowledgeable guides. You can sit back and enjoy the ride with their gravity braking system since it requires no hand braking on your part.

Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park

If you’re looking for something with a bit more variety then head up to the North Shore and check out everything North Tahoe Adventures has to offer. First up is the Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park in Tahoe City. This facility has courses suited for the whole family from beginner and kids ages five and up all the way to the most advanced. If you participate in all eight different courses they have to offer, you will have zipped almost 1/2 a mile through 16 zip lines! Check out their “Twins” Canopy Tour course where you can tackle eight different events with four zip lines, and walk across a 120 foot suspension bridge between two cedar trees estimated to be over 500 years old. Open daily until September 2nd and on the weekends/holidays the rest of the year.

Squaw Valley Adventure Center

The Ropes Course at Squaw Valley is located just a short walk from the ski resort. This ropes course is one of the largest in California and is perfect for team building activities, whether you’re with your company or family. It features almost 20 different elements in the air, which will take your adventure to new heights.

BaseCamp Climbing

If you want the thrill and satisfaction of rock climbing, without all the dirt, head over to one of the many climbing walls at BaseCamp, located right in the heart of downtown Reno. It features the wold’s tallest climbing wall at 164 vertical feet. This state of the art climbing facility has as indoor boulders area, a kid’s climbing zone, and of course the huge climbing wall in the outside of the building. Open daily from 11 a.m to 10p.m, this facility features 2,500 square feet of climbing space. It’s a great way to get your feet wet in the world of climbing. They also offer different groups whether you’re a beginner or and expert, rental equipment packages, and it is fun for the kids as well as the adults!

Outdoor Climbing Wall At Heavenly Mountain Resort

If you’re not looking for a full day of climbing, but would still love to give it a try this trip, try the Outdoor Climbing Wall at Heavenly Mountain Resort. Located at the top of the Gondola at Adventure Peak, thus twenty five foot rock wall features an auto belay system which provides a safe and controlled environment to allow you to test your climbing ability. Did you bring the kids along? The park has Spider Zone climbing area for the younger thrill seekers. Kids can climb, slide, explore, and weave their way through the structure, and slide back down on an inflatable slide.
