As fall sweeps in, our communities come alive with a tapestry of seasonal events. From pumpkin festivals and colorful foliage tours to harvest markets and haunted houses, there’s an autumn adventure for everyone to enjoy.
Seasonal Patches, Hills and Farm Activities
Apple Hill – Placerville
Apple Hill has it all, from Farms, Wine and Hard Cinder, Bake Shops, Hay Mazes, Pumpkin Patches and more. They even have a special events calendar so you can plan your trip within this month!
Arata’s Pumpkin Farm – Half Moon Bay
There’s so much more to us than just pumpkins! Challenge yourself mentally and physically in our world famous two-acre Minotaur’s Labyrinth hay maze. Take in the wonders of our six-acre corn field and Pumpkin River. Brace yourself for thrills and chills in our haunted barn. Kick back and enjoy one of our hay rides. There are also picnic areas throughout the farm, for when you want to relax and refuel.
Bierwagen’s Farm – Nevada City
Bierwagen’s Farm Annual Pumpkin Patch & Harvest Festival has everything from Fresh apples that you many varieties that are familiar and some that you might not be and of course Apple Cider. A children’s play area and much more.
Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm – Wheatland
Those in the Yuba Sutter Area are definitely familiar with Bishop’s. Started in 1973, this pumpkin farm expanded to host bakeries, restaurants, a cider Mill, community events and field trips and they’re open 7 days a week!
Book Family Farm – Durham
The Books are delighted to share their passion for the land with those who visit the farm. “We are excited to produce healthy food while at the same time being stewards of the earth.” They invite you to schedule a field trip to the farm any time of year.
Cool Patch Pumpkins – Dixon
Matt Cooley founded Cool Patch Pumpkins in 2001 when he and his kids started selling pumpkins on the side of his pumpkin field. His passion for family grew into a world renowned pumpkin patch and corn maze featured across platforms, news stations, websites, and in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Dave’s Pumpkin Patch/Vierra Farms – West Sacramento
Each October guests visit us for a spectacular and long-standing fall experience. Each seem to come for a different reason. Some love the smiles on their kid’s faces as they ride the hayride and pick their favorite pumpkin. Others visit year after year for the challenge of a new corn maze design. And some just come for the great food and Dave’s famous apple cider cinnamon donuts.
Dazzler Farms – Davis
Located at 23300 County Road 99D, Davis California. September 23 Bobby Dazzler’s opens up and will be open until the end of October. They also have Milo Maze, cow train, petting zoo and more.
The Haunted Pumpkin Patch – Grass Valley
We LOVE to give back to the community because our community has been so supportive to us. We select several charities to either donate to or to team up with for special events. Every year we pour our hearts into our haunt and pumpkin patch for you to enjoy, so stop on by and give us a try. Let us meet you and be able to say “Hello”.
TJ Farms – Chico
Each year, TJ Farms opens to the public for seasonal festivals- the most popular being the fall Pumpkin Patch.
