Gridley Relay For Life a Big Success

After 24 hours of non-stop walking to raise money for the fight against cancer, Relay For Life fundraisers all over the world came to an end Sunday.

In the North State, the city of Gridley saw a massive turnout for the event.

Hundreds of people walked hundreds of laps at Gridley High School this weekend.  Doug Vincent was one of the walkers raising money to help fight cancer.

“My (niece) was born with Leukemia and didn’t make it,” Vincent said. “So it’s just something I want to do I want to be here to help my family.”

The Gridley Relay For Life event raised $20,000.
