Placerville wins National Contest

Placerville’s Main Street will get a facelift in the future.  The city was one of the 20 towns across the country to win the “Main Street Matters” contest sponsored by Benjamin Moore Paints.  The announcement was made July 8.

Winning the contest means the historic buildings will be painted but that Benjamin Moore will send consultants so that the historic facades will be retained.  Paint will come from local stores and painters will be local paint contractors.
